Invalid KUID USER ID

Get over it
Not sure if this is in the correct Category but I'll start here. I uploaded a route to the dls and received a message that I have two (2) kuids that are suspect/bad. The message from N3V states that there are two invalid kuid user id's. These are listed in my route config as unknown dependencies. Traced them to a Russian author who I never heard of and have never used but there they are. How do I get rid of them? I cannot disable or delete them as they are grayed out. Thanks for any suggestions.

I had the same issue, though I didn't upload any routes, when I brought a TS12 route into T:ANE.

To fix this I did a bit of fiddling since the assets were built-in in TS12!

I deleted one which I found a substitution for, and for the other I did this:

1) I created a new asset to get a KUID then deleted it since it was only a dummy asset for that purpose.
2) Opened the asset in question, this one being a bulldozer or something like that.
3) Using Windows Explorer (file explorer), I copied the asset's folder to my desktop
4) Changed the faulty asset's kuid with mine.
5) Made the edits on the desktop copy.
5) Copied the replacement back into the T:ANE edit folder and replaced the faulty asset with mine. After that I was able to import it into T:ANE and the route now has no missing dependencies.

I know for you it's a sticky situation because your route is being uploaded to the DLS, perhaps you can find a substitution, but in this case does it matter since the original author is bogus anyway. I'll leave this for further discussion.

Most times it seems to be these? the Rus auto old Autobus2 and Rus auto old excavator? they have been replaced with N3V kuids but same name as are used quite a lot, have to do a replace assets in surveyor.

Probably not the best solution, but what you could do is edit the config file of your route, remove those KUIDs from the list of dependencies, and re-submit.

Btw,
If you are uploading a new route, be sure to add 3 images into the thumbnail part (and to the route) as that will give those nice 3 different images showing in TANE for people that downloaded the route :).
