Interesting Find.

Interesting find for sure. Pretty long gone though. Replacing the Trucks and Electrical gear wont be easy unless some it its buried underneath or in the walls or something..... Best hope would probably be static Display or as a Towed Coach probably. Though private ownership and reuse as a building probably isn't out of the question either.

These finds aren't uncommon, actually. When the trolleys lines and interurban systems were being abandoned, many of the old cars ended up in private hands. Some became houses, others diners and ice cream shops, and others garden sheds.

I agree though. This should be preserved and the people should contact the Illinois Transportation Museum.

Have you ever been to a trolley car restaurant? There's one in Phila., an old trolley is used as the ice cream shop for the restaurant. They did a nice job of restoring it.
