installing signals

Using trainz 2010 EE, I have managed to design my own layout as far as station and tracks but now want to find out how to get and install signals. Can anybody give me the advice. Thanks

The osatch tutorials are awesome as far as signal placement. There's something to keep in mind. The AI drivers don't always follow prototype setups, so you might have to fudge things to work. Sometime thinking too hard on the subject doesn't help either.

If you're looking for the signals themselves, check under the Track placement, then trackside objects tab. There's a ton of different signals from all over the world. Choose the signal, click on the track with the + button, and the signal is placed. If it faces the wrong direction, choose the curled arrow to face the signal in the right direction.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm installing uk semaphore and although the tutorials use mainly usa examples the principle seems the same so I'll see how I get on.

John C's advice is good, you might also like to try the DLS - search for "Sig".

You could also check out the S&C add on website:

http://www.settleandcarlisle.co.uk/ (Under "Content") - you may, or may not, need the S&C add on for these downloads to work.....

To get scripted junction signals to work correctly you may need to use signal "Targets" - "Sig T ***" (by Bloodnok).

Good UK signalling tutorial at http://www.trainzclassics.co.uk/ (under "Guides").
