I am completely new to Trainz 12 having used Microsoft Train Simulator in the past. Have downloaded Duchess pack and a couple of individual locos. How do I instal them into the Trainz 12 program? Any help would be much appreciated.
Danny5, Many thanks for your advice. Have found download from Download Station and am learning how to make consists in Surveypr. But still cannot see any sign of Duchess pack which I installed as per instructions. No sign in any of the Trainz folders. Anu suggestions please?
I don't have the Duchess but do have the Blue Comet. After installing the Blue Comet it showed up in Surveyor in the Trainz pop out (F7) as CNJ G3 and CNJ P47 locos and pressing C for the Consists list it is listed as CNJ Blue Comet light and heavy. Look in the Consists to see if it's in there.
I may be off base here, I'm running windows 7, but I found the things that I downloaded in the download folder. Just double click it, CM opens, and it is there.

Thanks to all - I'm getting there. I started this thread with trepidation after reading some unpleasant remarks in earlier threads about newcomers not reading manual etc - but manual is not that clear*. I've had nothing but friendly help from this forum.
*I'd add a special thanks to Bob Weber. Found his instructions posted on August 12 2011 and am now able to create consists. Slowly but surely.
