Can I install multiple instances of TS12 and TS2010 on a single PC?

Can I move my current installation of TS12 to another harddrive?

What do I need to know? (other than the meaning of life :hehe:)

You can have multiple instances of TS12 on a single PC.

I do not recommend moving your current installation of TS12 to another harddrive. Instead, install it from the disks or digital download, patch it up to the current version, install all your expansion packs, then transfer your assets from the /UserData/Local folder of your previous installation using the Import Content function in Content Manager.

Yes, if you install them to different folders. I don't know why you would want this as it may make using CM for downloading a bit confusing, but I'm sure you have your reasons.

Yes, you can, I did so, but only temporarily.

Yes to both questions. You can simply copy an installation. it works great for backing up or secondary installations. I maintain 3 installations of TS2010 and two of TS12: One "big" driving route that contains mostly non-U.S. routes (since most of this stuff comes from third-party sites, long since gone), one with mostly U.S. routes (I will be getting rid of this installation soon), and one barebones with nothing but DLS content and only a minimum amount of that. This is the installation I use for developing routes: It's lean and mean and has no third-party content that I have to worry about. With TS12, I have one regular installation mainly for the built-in routes and one beta.

Thanks you all.

Yup, the barebones one is for development and moving my current installation is necessary since that hard drive is full.

Thanks again.
