If I download Trs 22 can I put in on a SSD on which I alreadyhave TANE? I have the room but it is not partitioned as I dont know how to do that. Will there likely be any conflict?

If they have separate paths to their data folders in the individual Trainz launcher settings, they will not mix. There will be a lot of duplication, but as long as you have room....

Yes you can do that. TRS22 will install in its own folder and will not affect your TANE install at all.
