Install Settle and Carlisle for 2010

I got a 50% voucher so I bought Settle and Carlisle.

During the install, it asks whether to install as stand alone or addon, I select addon however it installs as a stand alone TS2009 anyways.

Is there another way to install or import this layout for TS2010?

Look in the builtin folder of the standalone install and copy the S&C.ja (I believe that is the name) file to the builtin folder of TS2010. You will have to add the serial number under the Options section of the launcher and then do an Extended Database Repair in CM for TS2010 to see all the files.

Interesting, I don't seem to have a 2009 folder.

My "Launch TS2009" shortcut actually launches TS2010.
But I don't see the Settle and Carlisle layout in the game or the Content Manager.

OK, look in the builtin folder of the TS2010 install for something the looks like S&C.ja. If it is there then you have to add the serial number to the options panel of the launcher before it will show in the game.

Sorry for butting in..
Once it has been imported into 2010 dose the puff puff smoke effect get added to any of the locos in 2010.

Thanks
and best of luck with finding the software on your PC

Hi

It won't add the smoke effect to locos made for 2004/6 but many of these locos can be converted to give this effect. I have converted many locos to give the correct smoke effects in TC3/2009/2010 and it isn't too difficult. Have a look at this article and you should get an idea of what needs to be done.

http://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php5/Updating_Steam_Locos_to_TC3_Standards

It mentions TC3 compatible engine specs which were only available in TC3 or the 2009 SnC Add On but there have been a considerable number of suitable engine specs added to the DLS recently. Just search for user name PaulHobbs. The sound files are available on the DLS.

You're welcome. The version number of the addon is listed at the end of the serial number in the options panel. I don't know which version Auran is distributing now but there was a update posted in the Auran Announcements forum. It updates the content of the addon not the code of the game. Check the version number of the addon and then find the thread to see if you need to update the addon.
