Get over it
I'm running TRS12 with NO patches. I have what I think is a high end system and I'm happy with the way things are running. NO major problems. I see no problems being able to run TANE. I've seen a few routes being developed that require SP1 so I got to thinking do I really want o patch to SP1? If I do patch what can I expect? I really don't want to be fixing a bunch of items or not be able to use items that I already have running. I'm thinking that maybe I should wait until TANE arrives sometime in December. What are the pros and cons of patching to SP1? Thanks for any input you may have.

You can have both.

Make a clean install of TS12 without the Service Patch. Now patch it with the Service Patch and Hot Fixes. You will need to direct the SP and HF to the correct folder. And it takes an eternity to do, so have patience.

My experience:
TS12 + SP + HF has slightly better graphics but sometimes has minor seizures - the motion stops but the sound continues.

Some of my latest sessions require the SP + HF because the Message Popup screen that provides the Player with instructions is much easier to configure.

Ken's right, wait for T:ANE. If you feel daring, create a second install of Trainz and apply the SP1+HF4 patches to that and slowly migrate, trying it out as you go. With Trainz, it's generally a good idea to do that anyway.

Thanks everyone for replying. Since I'm having no problems with any routes that I run I think I'm going to wait for T:ANE. I will be one of the many Beta testers shortly and I'm sure that will give more than enough time to check out the new Trainz. Looking forward to the release.
