Industries

Hi All

I have many industries on my route and they all work fine, except the oil field.

The tanker im using can take crude oil, desiel fuel, etc... as the logo's are there when i right mouse click the tankers and select view, But when it loads at the oil field no crude oil is loaded. There is plenty off oil in oil field and the tankers fill up ok at the oil refinary.

Does any one know why they will not load up with crude oil at the oil field?

I don't know if it's possible to specify which resource is to be loaded onto
a tanker that can handle several ones at a time. But, you could remove all the resources the tanker can load, aside from the crude oil. To do so, simply click the "x" next to the load you want to remove from the tanker, and voilà!

I hope it will help you until someone else comes up with a better idea.

I have removed all resources part from the crude oil and still will not fill up with crude oil.
The name of the tanker im using is Tanker 'VTG' Dark 5
i have tried many others and still the same.

They all fill up at the refinery but not at the oil field, is there something else i need with the oil field?

I find it better to have seperate trains for seperate loads.
Have you set the oil field to produce enough crude to fill the tankers. ?

I have 7 Tankers each holds 45000 total 315000 units of oil. The oil field has 388000 units of oil

I have removed all allowed resources from the tankers so only crude oil can be loaded into tankers and still no joy :(

In driver there a Commodty setter next to the map click on that and click on crude oil now click on tanker the icon should change to crude oil and the tanker should load crude oil. Now if you want that tanker to load diesel fuel after you empty the crude oil you need to do it again for diesel fuel.

Out of interest / curiousity etc.

I added a consist of those tankers plus an oil field industry to a test track of mine.

Never touched or changed any of the configurations in oil field or tankers.

Told to the driver to navigate to oil field and load.

Which it / she did.

The tankers filled but with one major difference that normally happens in this instance: the white animated pipes which normally move out and attach to the tanker never happened!

But when you "Ctrl + Right-Mouse-Click" to check the details of each tanker, they were each full of crude oil.

Is this the same case with your setup?

Cheers,
Laurie

its kindda strange but ya can set a car to laod any commodity but if theyre not configured in the unit config file its not gonna load it....

I always reconfig all loads for cars in the ccp and know they will load such as the oil field is really a basic commidty industry in trainz
you can check the cars in the cmp by lookin at its dependancies to see if car is propelry configured?

Hi All

Thanks for all your input but none of the suggestions work, But the good news is i have found out the issue as why it will not load with crude oil. So for information here the issue and cure :)

The tankers will not load with crude oil at oil field but any other industry is fine.

The reason for this is that i have a session rule called Power Plant Rule.
I have selected in this rule that if the power station goes offline due to lack of coal then all industries will go off line.

The oil field will only load the tankers if the oil field is removed from this rule even if the oil field is still active it will not load tankers unless removed from rule.

Thinking about this i guess this has been programed like this to stop the session from being caught in a loop. No power station no industries, no crude oil no coal therefore no power station.
As you can see the session will be caught in a loop unless you exit the session which is no good.

So there you have it be carefull when using this rule and dont get caught out like i did :)

I have seen this too. I decided to look closer at individual tank cars and noticed the ones that use the pipe animation have a load port tunnel looking thing low and center on each side.

I resolved this issue by cloning different tankers and assign to each one a specific product to carry. I am not sure if I uploaded kuid:478639:1014 which is a GATX tanker from Auran.
One useful driver command that may still be available to dowload is TrainProductInfo,<kuid:478639:1058>. This comand shows the load on each vehicle of a train. Even it updates automatically when loading/unloading if you keep the window open so you can see what and how much is being loaded.
