Improve TS10 Performance

I had TS2012 running with great performance, even while running JR content on large routes, such as Marias Pass X. However, after a TS12 corruption, I installed TS2010. I can't remember right off what my graphics settings for TS12 were, but my TS10 is running painfully slow. I place 1 JR locomotive on a map like Marias Pass X, and everything starts running much slower than TS12 did. What are ideal settings to make TS10 performance better?

JR content is probably high detail, so you need to make sure you have enough memory and a fast enough processor/graphics card to manage it.

Also, make sure you're running at least build 44088. It will help if you can post your current system specs, as well as your current values for antistropy, anti-alias, and the detail/draw distance sliders.

Specs are
Windows 8.1 Pro
4.00 GB RAM (3.25 usable)
2.10 GHz AMD Turion X2
ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics

So yeah, kinda running right at minimum requirements. I'll get back to you here soon with the settings.

The hardware side looks OK (apart from possibly the graphics card, but if it runs TS12 OK, then that shouldn't be a problem).

I've a feeling it's one of the settings that may be the issue though.
