Improve game, and overall laptop performance using Driver Booster by IObit?

Hello all

I have just downloaded, and am currently running, Driver Booster by IObit. I have a concern, though. Does this actually make a difference to the game? Any advice could be very useful.

It can make a difference by shutting off background processes and altering the power plan (be aware that if you use the option to use the Game Booster power plan on a laptop, it's power use goes up quite a bit).

I personally use Razer's version of that software.

I'm going to restart and hope that sorts it out. If not, I'll have to try and revert back to the driver I was using before IObit installed the new one. Bloody technology

If that doesn't fix it, check your hardware accelerated compression setting and open for edit/recommit or redownload the affected content.

I think you may be getting things mixed up! Driver booster is a program that keeps your computer drivers up to date so that your computer is working at optimum performance.
Where as Game booster is a program that configures your OS to run games faster by stopping all the un-necessary programs that are running in the background, both are useful in getting better performance.
But be aware of un-wanted add-ons' read the small print and go the custom route and un-tick the right boxes.

I restarted the laptop. As everything was loading, all the trains opened with the correct textures, but then when it all loaded, the trains either went all black or started looking like a nintendo 64 game. How do I check the hardware accelerate compression setting?

I did look at the small print and it didn't say anything about other programmes being installed

go in to drive booster and click on restore top right.

Game Booster does include a facility for updating drivers as part of the main program.

the trouble is that he's using driver booster and not game booster, though Shane.

If it doesn't work, the next stage is the texture compression check and fix.

As for using the driver booster not the game booster, the driver booster should still boost the drivers meaning it shoul still be able to run the laptop faster. It did, however it was clearly incompatible with Trainz.

Okay, now my laptop is running very slowly again. Should I try game booster? If so, can someone please link me?

I downloaded it and ran Trainz through it and it didn't work. If anything it was more laggy. I'll have to see what I can do in the morning thank you for the help anyway
