Trainz Crew,

Thanks for building a fantastic sim!

Is it possible create a layout based on real-world data, importing a Bing or Google map?

Thanks,
Pablo

Not really. You can import DEM maps into Trainz using TransDEM. It will generate the terrain and paint lines for where tracks, roads, rivers, etc belong. There is also 1km baseboard squares that you can download off the DLS & reskin to have contain a satellite view (Google Earth) of your map. But you still have to do everything by hand.

One of the Stretch Goals for T2/TANE is to have an import function built in for something like Google Earth.

Where can I find directions or learn how to "reskin" a baseboard?
