Importing a TRS2019 to TRS2022 Note the differences

Most here know that I've been working on the Laurel Line 3.0 Route for many months now. I'm hoping to get a few more content creators involved as I get to the end of the route building. Yesterday I sent my latest work to a another creator so he can look over the route. The first problem I noticed is that I'm working in TRS2019 and the other content creator is working in TRS2022. The screenshots did not look the same. Compare the two pictures below.

So here is my view of the Sincavage Lumber Co. on my Route this was in TRS2019.

Here is basically the same scene after my route was imported in the TRS2022. See the differences? Is this what my work turns into after getting imported into the newer Trainz? Note the ground around the track. My trackwork is clean and the ground is level to the track. Once imported into TRS2022 the ground becomes uneven looking like I'm an incredibly sloppy route builder. Why is this happening? Also note the darker "cloud cover" in my original TRS2019 screenshot. You can see the edge of the sunshine on the distant mountains. It looks like the area I'm focusing on has a heavy rain cloud above it. It is gone in the TRS2022 screenshot. I asked about this issue in TRS2019 a long time ago, but I never really got an answer about it.

So what are causing these differences? It couldn't all be in the settings, could it?

My point of view is simply this... Is it worth it too work so hard and spend so much time on a route project that turns to crap when somebody imports it? It's really starting to concern me.

The shadow has something to do with the lighting for one. Go into environment settings and select the green dot at noon then select default to "reset" the environment. This will give you more or less T:ANE and TRS19 lighting. I use this setting while I'm working in Surveyor because I can't see squat with the fog and shadows.

The textures in the TRS2022 version are also PBR textures. These TransDEM textures look terrible IMO.

I'm not so worried about the TransDem textures as they will be removed from the project... eventually. The ground under the track is what catches my attention the most. I had made a point to level all the ground under the track. Once the project is moved to TTRS2022, all that ground leveling seem to go out the window. I can't help but wonder why.

I will check your environmental setting suggestion in TRS2019. Thanks.

Using the reset doesn't seem to change the environment much. Here is a picture comparison. First is in my current settings, the second is after the reset. The shadow (cloud cover) remains. See the distant mountains.

Also, my TRS2019 setting are already set to ultra.

That shadow in those screenshots kind of reminds me of the movie Independence Day when the space ships block out the sun over the cities.

Edit addon...Nobody else is experiencing this phenomenon in TRS2019?

I used to see that in TRS19. Try setting the shader settings to "standard". This may remove the PBR effect and may remove the shadow too. It's been a while since I used TRS19 like that.

Set the Shader to standard and lowered the shadow & texture settings and this is what I got. No difference at all... I'm afraid to say.

what time of day is route currently in? Time of Day matters for when the shadows hit different areas of the map especially in Mountainous areas

I tested the time of day. While the shadow on the mountains change to a lighter shades, it remains in place throughout the day. It's barely noticeable at the 6pm position, but it's still there. I don't get it! 🤔

Currently Testing PBR Textures in TRS2019. I textured a small section of track. I made sure there are no open spaces under the tracks. I'm using the matching PBR Ballast in the RTXT Pack. If you would like to test it in your game, PM me and I'll send you the link.

Which is the most stable, bug free version of Trainz anyway? It seems new versions get rid of some problems but introduce new ones. Look at the problems the SP6 patch for 22 has.
I own TRS22 but gave up using it as it became too downright depressing having my work constantly broken all the time by buggy updates. Locomotives plowing through their trains due to the 'run around train' command being broken by an 'update' was the final straw and I went back to TRS19 where everything just works like it says on the tin and there won't be any more 'updates' ever.

I really dislike the shadow disk around the camera or pov in TRS2019. Can't remember if it happens in TANE also. Haven't yet learned how to eliminate it.
Looked at lighting info, but didn't catch on how to fix it.
