After nearly 3 years away from Trainz thought I'd give it another crack seeing as it is now 50% off. (Cheapskate) :hehe:

1st Stupid question: How long does it take for the serial number to come through once I have bought Trainz thru Simulator Central???

Ready to download but waiting for the serial number to come thru.

Patches should never be canceled, or a re-installation of Trainz will be required.
Antivirus should be turned off, and your PC should not be used while patching Patch overnight).
A patch may seem stuck, but it is really installing allot, silently.
Some patches do take far in excess of 8 hours, especially if you have a slow ISP connection.

How do install any patches?? Or are they included in the TS12 version I have just bought?
After installation, check the build number you find in the bottom right corner of the start-up window. Compare that number with the available patches.

You can find the patches here:

Stupid Question No3 - Is it normal for the setup-1a bin & setup-1b bin files to take 15 hours to download????
I had a decent internet connection and had all files in less then 3 hours.
In other words:
It depends on your internet connection. Those things are somewhere around 1.4gb each.

Welcome back Frattonstation! Hopefully your not overwhelmed by the new stuff that Trainz has come up with, since JointedRail has been rolling out surprise after surprise. Just give us a holler on the forums if you need any help at all, theres a lot of members here who will help figure out problems. As for technical stuff, just ask Shaneturner12--he's a Trainz technical expert.
