Your route building style is certainly unique.......when i think city i think predominately concrete with pockets of greenery here and there but i suppose you can build a city in scattered woodland if you want.........you could also build it in the middle of the amazon rain forest if you want.....there are no rules in trainz.

Exactly, hotgrove! Kris94, ignore these sarcastic and unnecessary comments about your city. Constructive criticism is the way forward, not destructive criticism. It is really starting to take shape and that's great Looking forward to seeing the results
I have semaphore signals at my disposal but don't know which ones to use and where to use them. Home, Block and Distant Semaphores is what I'm equipped with. Did some research but didn't find what I wanted.

You need to search harder then. Because dmdrake made nice buildings for backgrounds, and there is built-in stuff from TS12. Look under "Downtown Building".

I don't want backgrounds. I want buildings. Backgrounds will only degrade the realism of the route. I'll look for downtown buildings but I'm no longer in a downtown/midtown setting.

Hmm interesting. Well next time I get to making a downtown, I'll look into those. I'm no longer in a downtown setting as I've moved out to a suburban setting. Or better yet, an area with a lot of homes and a few shopping malls here and there.
