I have iespell checker onmy desktop. Where do I put it to get it to work on the forum?

Hi I just installed the latest version of the Google bar and the speller works OK.
In fact I misspelled some of these words and it picked them all up.

I have seen problems about this before and never replied as I thought everyone knew the answer, as others where replying (us oldies I mean, and that does not refer to your age :hehe: :hehe: )

I have ieSpell and when I go to use it in a reply I can not get it to work on this forum. Then one day (after a few months away from Trainz) I looked at some of the options when posting, like all the funny faces, Bold, Italic etc.

Now when I look at my screen while posting this I see a symbol with "ABC" and a tick under it, in the top right hand corner. So I hit that and I find ieSpell there checking my reply post. Of course you need it on your computer but that is the only way I have it to work on this forum. On other forums ieSpell works fine, very strange.

I would be interested if this works for others as well.

Yes Craig, that the way it works for me. The name iespell I think stands for Internet Explorer Spell ...., pretty nice for freeware. Not sure why it's on danny5's desktop.

I totally agree with CasyJ on this one. IE has a lot of trouble with buggy code, stopping viruses etc, so firefox is more secure, and you can add a lot more to it!

:hehe: I clicked on the ABC and got a popup with iespell for spelling to downloading so i downloaded it,didn't know where to put it so downloaded to my desktop . Where should i haved put it to get it to work on the fourm so you won't have to see my mistakes.?:hehe:

Instead of choosing Save, click Run in the download box to have it install after download.

Okay, that makes more sense. I usually put things like that in my download folder, then allow Norton to check it for viruses first. As it's an executable, just double-click on the icon, and it will install.
