Why should we? Is it compulsory to tell? Take it or leave it. Sometimes we feel that making and offering trainzy stuff for free is a compulsory task for some of you, demanding guys.

If you don't have that asset, just 'delete missing assets from the map' and nobody cares.

Well, I think that the best solution for those lacking this asset (-it's not essential at all-) consists of using the "delete missing assets" in Surveyor.

Unaware of being payware -just picked it up from the asset selector-, the original creator of the route included it, and we, while checking it, didn't notice this fact. Our apologies for that.

Anyway, I have written Jean Luc Bernard from 'La France en Trains' just in case there's a solution for this.

Making use of this matter, I would like to make a suggestion to payware creators:

So that route creators know what they are including in their routes (payware or not), I do think it would be a good idea if payware assets were labelled with a Payware icon on the preview window. Maybe we can agree a common icon for that.

I agree Alberte, about an icon being present in surveyor, but I think it should be one that defines whether the asset selected is on the DLS.

In the old forum I made a suggestion about this:


Adding a DLS icon to assets

Rolling stock as well

Auran would have to implement this though, maybe an inhouse kuid issued for the DLS icon, which inturn gets added to every config file that gets checked and approved during the upload process to the DLS.

Once in place, maybe a batch file process could be run on the DLS to update the config files already there. Even if this meant temporarily making the DLS unavailable while the process was carried out.

If a unique piece of code was/is required to achieve this, maybe a small patch could be released to update our end of the business.

Only ideas guys, I thought this might be worth kicking around again.

Never mind, Ray, this is a good place to discuss on this.

There are four positions on most of kinds of assets to place one of these icons. I think is a good a idea, the one you are passing on. And mine about Payware assets too.

I have already purchased many payware assets and all of the stuff is living together amongst the rest of contents. I always hesitate about the -ware status when selecting a item to to be included in my modules. Besides, some payware creators have also freeware and sometimes you have problems to be in the right track of the -ware.

Who's using this old groundtexture of mine? It hasn't been available since a long time ago.

It's asset 'balasto con hierba' (ballast and grass).

Anyway, you can get it directly from http://web.ibertrainz.eu/descargas/ballast_and_grass.cdp

I'll send it to the DS and TPR Download Depot just in case some others are in need.

Keep in mind that Alberte, Manweb, and the other mods always have their arms opened to assist in any way possible. So, in other words, if you can';t read the language, they have an international forum, but nonetheless, they will always assist in translating anything you want ...:wave:
