The 'silver bullet' lived up to it's reputation. I hope the engineer was in the other engine.
 
My guess;
The beer cans rear ended the salt cars hard enough to drive the front tank car through the 2502 unit and onto the engine of the 1532.
Both ends of the frame of the 2505 look trashed, but the lead unit should be repairable, if it's worth the cost.
