Ok, this may have been covered before. But i've searched and found nothing helpful.
I just got Trainz 2006 the other day, and so far i'm loving it.
The only thing is, i can not get a bit of my downloaded things to work.
I've tried all of the amtrak equipment i've downloaded, all of the engines i just grabbed from UStrainz, everything is missing one or two dependencies.
I still can't quite figure out why all of this isn't just in one big package, but i imagine it's got decent reasoning behind it.
But thanks for any help guys.

Sometimes it is becuase the creators of lets say Ustrainz choose to use someonelse bogies they will use them and then its up to you to go get them so the loco will work correctly, the easiest way to do it is to go into CMP under missing dependancis and then right click on it to, then go to view dependancies, and then click view in main list, and if it has a DLS marker next to it then right click then download.(if there is several you need just hold Ctrl and click each one)
But I do see where you are coming from.

I wish i could figure this out.
I have no idea how to find dependencies without the DS icon next to them.
I'm only missing 2 for all of the GP-35s and i think one for the GP-40s.

Hi Actionhank1786,

Welcome to the world of Trainz.

Question...did you "commit" the items you downloaded?

In CMP, under "Settings" select "Auto Commit".

After that, again, from CMP... select "Launch Trainz"...this will commit the items you have, and start Trainz.

HTH,
Ron

I'll try that real quick!

:edit: no luck yet.

IN the cmp click the missing dependancies tab you ll get a list
find the units your looking for and right click on them you ll get a pop up window with a list of things you can do., click on the "view dependancies"
you will get another pop up with all dependancies and missing or bad flagged with theyre kuid number...........usually says what the item is also... for easier searching....

Also check out in the freeware forum was a post on where to find etc also...
