I had to delete TS12 and everything associated with it

When I reinstall TS12 will I be able to have one patch to get up to present time or do you have to go through a series of patches to achieve an up to date version of Trainz. I'm not a creator of routes I basically just like to drive the routes or assign drivers and keep tabs on their progress but I would like TS12 to be up to date. Thanks in advance for any help I may get for reinstalling.

You will still need to re-patch in order (which is usually a series of patches) although you can use the auto-patch facility to make this easier.

Thanks for your help ,would it be easier for me to order a new copy of TS12?

It depends. Whilst the latest version on Simulator Central does already include SP1, I would only advise doing that if absolutely necessary.
