I finally created some hornsounds for Trainz that sound old-fashioned and American.

This is what the classic American locomotives sounded like through much of the 20th century. 19th century American steam engines might have have the diminished seventh chord as well. I know some SP Geeps in California had this classic iconic sound. Even a Caltrain pulled by an F40 I rode on had a sound like this in the 1990's. Newer-model D/E locos in America have crappy-sounding horns to my ears. They sound foreign. It is the sound I so miss. Railroading style in America has become so cheesy and plastic like China-made toys in Wally World, sadly. The shame of it all!
