I Am Missing Something!

Hi All,

My first post, hope I can explain my problem.

Played MSTS for many years and wanted to try another game. Prefer to just do activites, don't want to build my own railroad.

Found Trainz 2009 Simulator. Installed it and cannot see what I am doing wrong.

The first Driver Route and session -- Bad Schandare Aluminum Transport.

I cannot seem to drive or find out what I am supposed to do. I get a list of people to my left and did figure out to "get out of train" and then I could move it, but don't know what to do, no list or waybill!

Is there any tutorials anywhere where I could learn? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED! Thanks!

Reading the manual might help. :hehe: One major difference between Trainz and MSTS is that MSTS starts you in a player engine, and that's your engine. With MSTS BIN you can couple onto another engine and change to that engine, with Trainz all you need to do is hit the 4 key and wander around the route, find another engine and click on that, then you're driving that one instead.

I'm not familiar with the session you mentioned, but some sessions do have you starting without a train, and you're supposed to wait for your train to arrive then take it over. Also TS2010 by default has "show only favorites" selected, and someone else already chose the favorites for you, so you have to deselect that to get all the routes in the list to show up.

I have now learned that I can pick a train, thanks! and can navigate it anywhere there is a location, landmark, and switch! I learned I can load and unload passengers, and move my engine to the other end of the consist! I also found out some locations can consume my consist! Learn something new everyday!
