As said, I am disappointed with you people because no one found it necessary this year to post a 1st of April joke thread here. I did so last year and I managed then to fool a few people but this year I was holding off to see if someone else will do so this year. Sadly, no one did so, although there are 708,847 registered members with this forum, I thought at least ONE would lighten up the somber mood presently here :hehe:.
In my past, I had been a moderator for 10 years on a highly successful space simulation forum with more than 250 000 registered members and once, after all members were waiting for a new version release of the space simulation (now similar to everyone waiting for TANE) I posted that M$'s game division had bought the rights of the very soon to be released space simulation and were converting and releasing that for the XBox only.
World War 3 broke out on that forum on the first day, every one accused the developers of selling their soul to the devil and leaving all PC users of that simulation high and dry until some bright spark finally realized, this was only an April Fool's joke. Even several days later, people only reading my first post there, not reading any subsequent postings, let fly towards the developers and M$ until after posting their reply they finally read the other posts. Oh what fun that was :hehe:.
I wonder what would have happened if I had posted something similar here on the 1st of April about TANE? I know, you are a very sophisticated bunch of people and you would have seen straightaway though that first post, hence I did not post this as there was already disquiet of waiting and waiting for TANE. Would it have brightened up the mood of people here and most of you would have had a quiet smile, well, we will never know as I did not post so?
I hope, next year, one of you will take up the challenge to think of something for the 1st of April and post something here, after all, you have 12 months to think of something
