Hybrid AI and player driving

hello everyone, I kindly ask if you know of a command that allows you to set the intersections automatically but leaves the driving of the train to the player.. example: drive to station A on platform 3 then drive to station B on platform 2, in this example the AI takes care of turning the switches instead the player takes care of driving the train respecting the signals and speed limits.. currently the manual driving involves me setting the switches as I get closer to the stations.. it would be more real if the road was already set, as happens in reality.. I was thinking of a variant of the DriveTo trackmark and DriveViaTrackmark commands.. only that they have manual driving.. what do you think???

It can be done but by using a much more complex process than just the AI to set the switches and drive the train.

Method 1:
Use track triggers set to react to a specific train (usually the driver name and/or the loco name). As that train passes over each trigger it will set all the switches ahead of the train.

Method 2:
Use interlocking towers, an area that I have very little experience of.

Both methods could cause problems for the movement of other trains (especially AI trains) if they are fighting for control of the same junctions so their success will depend on how much other traffic is in the route - but that is also an issue if you use AI to both set the switches and drive the train but the AI will (eventually) work it out (in most cases).
