By the way what is the kuid of the short green grass in the last pic? I've been looking for something specific at that just might be it.

That's a grass spline by jankvis. Its JVC@-grass332 spline asymmetric 16x40m <kuid:328583:1006>.

Thanks mates! I made a couple of the ground textures...the ground leaves one and the one with mud and rocks. I made the old storage building a couple of days ago.

My initial motivation for starting this route project was to build a virtual environment for New York Central steamers, having the idea in the back of my mind somewhere that "If you build it...they will come." :hehe:

Thanks again, Mike.

I know what I would do if I had your route ... I would be installing aerial flywayz and boatwayz, and looking at your fantastic scenery and trainz from a splendid wide angle distant view.

I have thought about putting in elevated invisible tracks for planes. So far, there are 3 invisible tracks in the river for drivable boats. I thought I would try adding portals to them. I'm not sure if it will work for boats but its worth a try.

Wow! That's good stuff Fred. I feel like I've stepped back in time every time I look at your screen shots. Great job.

Zorronov, how is the hudson river route project doing? There has not been any screenshots or updates for a couple of months now. I hope this project is still in the works. You have seemed to capture the scenery and railroads along the hudson river pretty close to the real thing. Hope to see some more work soon.

Amazing!

Fred,

I am just returning to this wonderful pastime after a 15 year lapse. At that time, as an early TrainZ fan, I was able to download (purchase) a very nice NY Central Hudson Division, all the way from Castleton to the lower Manhattan Hi-Line.

I cannot seem to find it - maybe gone forever. How would I go about finding a route like yours? I should mention that I grew up along the main line in Harmon NY, and later worked in operations for the NYCRR until the dreaded merger with PRR. Thanks for your help.

EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED

As Fred hasn't posted here in a while, it's likely he's busy with life. As far as I recall, he still had a lot of work to do on this route (but, as I am very interested in this route myself, I sincerely hope I am wrong! :D ). I'm sure he'll get back to you eventually though.

It's probably in your best interest not to include your email address on a public forum, since it's an invitation for spammers to flood your inbox. If I were you, I'd edit my post to remove the email address. He'll either post back here or not at all, so as far as I can see, that's the best way of getting a hold of him.

I have recently started back on this and, rather than start a new thread, I decided to post here.

I've been working on the northern half of Iona Island on the River Line, aka River Subdivison, which was called the West Shore back in the days of the New York Central...
