How to shut down locomotives

For the life of me, I can't seem to find the thread explaining how to get an engine to be in a shut down position, or be rolling stock, for a scenario. It just doesn't make sense for some of the engines to be running on parts of my route.

Hi jadebullet,
To answer your question, the only locomotives you can shut down are the ones from www.WorldofTrainz.com. If you have trs06, then you get three SD70s with the program.
As for regular locos, the only way to put them in an "off" position is to configure there config. files, which is very easy if you're using trs06.
