HI all,
just wondering if someone can tell me how to get rid of a ground texture. I seem to have acquired some grass growing up in my track and I want to get rid of it.

First thought is run the weedkilling train over your network.
Second one is use the get tool in surveyor to identify which it is, then use the replace asset tool and use an invisible in driver asset, platform spacer for example. Looks daft in surveyor but who cares.

Couldn't you locate the texture in cmp, save it to your desktop then delete it from cmp, go back to the route and use the remove missing assets? Then you could of course reload the texture back from your desktop for future use or in case it's being used on other routes.

HI all,
haven't had any luck trying to delete bush. Can anyone identify them from the photo below.

Any help is appreciated> I guess i will need to delete all the ground textures and re add them. I have tried to select the bus but i am no think it is not a texture but a scenery object. Have tried selecting them as a scenery object but they don't select anything.

I think these weeds are in the spline section of trainz not the texture section. Look in surveyor and see if they have the spline circles attached to them. Now you cab click on get asset and it will tell you what the weeds are and you can delete them.
Try it.

These are not textures. They will be found in the spline section fo assets.
Go into spline assets and click on the get asset tool and it will show you the name of the bush or grass.
You can easily delete them when you are in the spline mode.:)

Sorry for the double reply my internet is very slow today:(

I agree - they look like a spline asset. You may have to switch to wireframe to see what's happening under the tracks and perform the delete.

Okay all,
I found the ground cover is called Blackberry Grnd and BlackberryLG Grnd. Now when I select it, I can not get the replace tool to work so I can replace it. have had to take the drastic action of deleting the baseboard and recreating it. Thanks to all for your help.

You can't do a replace because it is not in your local list of DLS stuff. Re-download or enable and it should appear in the asset list and allow drag/drop to Replace.

Hi Dick,
not sure what you mean It is in the texture list in surveyor. That is how i found out what it is. Then I confirmed it by adding some to a new map to check I had the same thing. The only time I can get the Replace tool to work when i want to replace a grid with a texture.

Not sure what a "replace a grid with a texture" is? If the replace will not take a dragged/drop of even a recent placement of the texture that is a new one for me.

Hi Dick,
well I have not being a drag and drop into the replace dialog box as i did not know that was the way it was done. I was using the "Get" tool on the texture dialog flyout. Then trying to get it to show in the Replace dialog box. Thanks Dick I have now replaced the offending textures and now I can a few replacements in the layout. As for the grid replace If you click the grid on a new map with the replace dialog box open it will show in the replace dialog box. You can then select a texture to replace the grid. Thanks all for your help.
