How to get rid of those RED rolling stock?

I am a relative non-techie type when it comes to the inner workings of Trainz 10 and 12. My question is how to remove those RED highlighted pieces of rolling stock - locos, boxcars when in the train portion of Surveyor. Because there are so many of them, it takes a while to search through that long list of rolling stock to find the ones I want. I'd just like to know how to delete the ones that cannot be loaded into Surveyor.

Thanks in advance...

Bill

When you start the game, load the Content Manager. On the left, you should see the search function. Use the + sign to add the filter Faulty from the dropdown. You most likely can fix the errors, but you can also just delete them. Also from the tabs at the top of CMP click, Missing Dependencies. Select all assets and right click then click download. This will get all DLS Dependencies for your assets. What's left after that can either be tracked down on the internet, or the asset can be deleted. That should clear it up. Maybe someone else can give a clearer definition if I have confused you lol.

Use the Search function

Hi Bill --

Fire up Content Manager.

Search, the small pane, left side:

  • Location = Local
  • Built-in = False
  • Faulty = True

Highlight all the items listed in the main pane and then press the Delete key

Delete key? I wish it worked in Content Manager. I found a lot of clutter in there and was hoping for a quick solution. Being new to Trainz, I don't need all the junk I found loaded locally and just want to get rid of it. But after highlighting the object and pressing delete did nothing. Any other ideas? Thanks for all the support you guys provide.

You can't delete a built in asset, but you can disable it.
