How to Fix Track Appearance

This is how it currently looks.

I tried that and it did not work.
Don't smooth the terrain under the track and use the topology tools to do that instead. If it still doesn't look right, raise the track more, or use an embankment under the tracks such as those that begin with j_. There are some built-in/DLC and also on the DLS.

I decided to swap out the tracks with another asset. So now I'm using the US Mainline (2m) tracks instead.

That track is really, really old. It may cause performance issues with TRS19 due to how it's created.

Back in the day, meaning TRS2004 - TRS2010, it was great-looking and many of us used that track on our routes.

I don't have TRS2019. You probably meant TRS2022. Frankly, you could make that argument with just about all of the tracks not made by Jointed Rail. They're all old and could probably contribute to performance issues. These tracks are included on my original version of the route and haven't caused any performance issues that I can deem as substantial instead of merely negligible. The CPU and GPU are going to be my biggest task for improving performance.

TRS19/TRS22, both would face issues with this track. It's how the track is made that can cause problems and is quite CPU heavy. You may not see the effects because your route is quite small compared to many other monsters out there.

When I was using the route last year my CPU didn't have much stress put on it. My GPU would certainly take a hit given how insufficient it is but then again anything that uses a lot of resources would make my graphics card suffer. To be honest, I can deal with it compared to the tacky appearance of that other railroad track previously used. The other tracks are just fine when used on level tracks or routes where no tunnels are involved. That's why I prefer these tracks over Jointed Rail for my mountain routes.

Which track is that? One of JR's tracks? I don't care for those as much as other tracks like the ones with with rail joints and rivets like the ST tracks by simulatortrain and procedural tracks. I played Microsoft Train Simulator around 2001-2002 and that had switch points that moved, but the early versions of Trainz before Trainz 12 didn't. Now Trainz has procedural tracks with working switches.
