Hi,

I don't like to use drive to / navigate, Is there a command that I can use to do the driving myself but have Trainz set all junctions for me to reach the desired destination?

#Trainz Simulator 2009

Thanks.

Nothing easy, this is still one of the biggest flaws of Trainz as a driving sim compared to the competition. Even Run 8 gives you a despatcher board so you can go ahead and set up the route for yourself.

The best you can do is line all the points and junctions as you want them for your train when setting up the session.

The AI can change junction direction and after passing it will release it back to it's original setting.

Just noticed the OP is on Android so not sure how it works on that platform, as I believe it's essentially a degraded version of UTC.

He also has TRS2009, but needs to fix his registration and inquired on how to do that.

I'm wondering if one of the many auto-path or set-path control commands may work. After configuring the command, load up once into the driver's command queue and go.

The alternative is to setup the schedules ahead of time in the Schedule Library (I can't remember if it works with TRS2009 though...). I know it's a bunch of regular drive-to, etc., commands, but this is done once and only a single command is placed in the driver command queue. The actual destinations expand out as needed.

The problem is John as we've gone over before, none of these commands work once you take over and drive the train yourself. Everything gets wiped. Similarly following a schedule which doesn't in itself set the route unless the AI is driving and again as soon as you take over it disappears.

I've seen driver commands remain in the queue when I've taken control. The processing of the commands is halted yes, but the commands remain. My solution is to let the AI drive when stuff is complex, but I do the driving in between. The only time the commands disappear completely is when a new driver is assigned to a consist.
