How to download Trainz 2012?

I have just purchased Trainz 2012 as a digital download from Auran and expected to be sent to a place to download the game. However, despite seeing the order and payment confirmation I did not end up at a download place. I've sent them a message (via their helpdesk section on their website) and had a confirmation that they will get back to me within 5 days, however I thought that someone in the forums might be able to help me a bit quicker. Where do I download the software which I have bought? I have looked at download station but that appears to require a serial number (which I have not got yet as I have not downloaded the software).

Thansk for any help

Hi David,

To access the download information, click Planet Auran above, then click Order History. You will then see the order number(s) for purchase(s) you have made. Click the order number relating to the TS12 purchase to access both the serial number and the download links.

Some advice:

1.Use a download manager to download the files, as they are around 1.5GB each (apart from the setup file, which is less than a GB).
2.Save all the files into the same folder, including the setup.exe file.
3.Make a note of the serial number, as you may need it during installation, and you will need it after installation.

Thanks for the info - I'm downloading now, though it seems to be going painfully slowly (Over an hour left to download just 1.5GB). Is there a problem with the download site?

It's probably either busy, or it's speed limited. There is a mirror server available (link should be on download page) that may be quicker.

I downloaded it a couple of days ago and the mirror wasn't working.

I simply started off a download, paused it, started the next one, paused it etc until I had started them all, then I unpaused the lot and they all downloaded at exactly the same speed just the original one was downloading.

Reason I paused each one was that it wouldn't let me start more than 2 without doing it that way.

To avoid corruption,it is better to download one at a time. I know it takes time, but it's the best method, especially as there is a limit to simultaneous downloads of 5 (although in busy periods it can be as low as 2).
