How to download new routes for TS12, please?

Given that I am not very well skilled in downloading tools for PC games, I kindly request for help about how can I download (and install) new routes for my TS12 game. Please tell me the instructions as clearly as possible or tell me an address where I can get proper support. Can I find a list of most popular or interesting routes to be downloaded? Are they classified by countries or regions?. Thanks so much for your kind support. Er_pershelero, Spain.

Hi er_pershelero,

Welcome to the forums.

Have a read in DLS,FCT for my tutorial on how to download using Content Manager, which can be accessed using the Content button on the Launcher.

Note that some routes will not be available to you unless you have fully patched your version, and that older routes may have errors that require fixing (which there is a guide in the TS2010 forum for that).

As for routes themselves, look under Category > Session under Content Manager, as downloading a session will download the route automatically.

Another thing - the non-First Class Ticket accounts are limited to 100MB per day at a speed of around 4KB/second which means that some routes will take a few days to download.

The search in Content Manager would be:

Category = Routes
Minimum Build Version = 3.5
Region = United Kingdom (or whichever country you want)

You just need to download it from the DLS within Content Manager and it will (or should) automatically download the dependencies. As Shane suggested, routes tend to have many dependencies so downloading the route may not be an issue but all the dependencies may well be. Routes written for earlier versions may will work.

The only place you will get any support of this nature is via these forums and for this type of issue you probably should subscribe to the Surveyors, Operators and Engineers forum. And perhaps the Freeware Announcements Forum. There is also a Spanish speaking forum.
