Hello, well i have some k&l trains and they are great, but my computer cant seem to handle the smoke they make and was wondering how to replace/delete them?

I think you need to edit the config.txt file and search for smoke in effects section of the mesh-container. You can then alter the smoke rate or delete it if you want. I suggest that you make a copies of these assets before doing this in case something gets really messed up.

Bob: I think he's talking about the K&L engines.

To answer OP: Find your steamer in CMP, clone it, right click the clone > Edit in Explorer > open config.txt.
Find all instances of "rate" under the smoke0/smoke1/smoke2.. sections and replace that number with a zero. Commit the clone and you're good to go.

Cheerio,
Nicholas

Seriously?

How about parked steam engines? Steam engines dead in tow? Steam engines on display? Steam engines in the workshop?
I even once made a steam engine stop smoking for a photo shoot so that I could more easily add in my own smoke in post.
