How to deal with error after downloading "The Loops" Route

I just downloaded "The Loops" route from the DLS and I got the error message in the title "Not authorised to commit change to asset <kuid:401543:1009>

I'm not sure what to do. As far as I know, I didn't modify anything.

All I wanted to do is download and then try this route.

Has anyone else run into this problem, and - if so - what did you do to get around it?

Check if it's open for edit, if so r/click on it and select revert to original.
No idea why you've got that message.

6433 errors and 70 warnings after extended DB repair!

While I was waiting for a reply on the one asset error in "The Loops" route, I tried an extended database repair and got 6433 errors and 70 warnings!

I guess I have larger problems than just the commit error from "The Loops" route.

Not really sure what to do at this point.

One question: are all assets in my local folder? If I were to replace my current local folder with one from a recent backup, could I hope for something better?

Or should I just blow away TS2010 and reload from scratch?

This is common after a database repair; a validation may clear most if not all the errors. Use the search pane to show only Faulty Content (Faulty = True.) In the right pane, highlight all of it (CTRL-A) and then right-click and select View Errors and Warnings. Go get a soda or eat a sandwich while Trainz validates the assets. The process typically takes as long as an EDR.

Database repairs don't check (at least not fully) whether or not assets are faulty. Validation does (though validation does not repair database index errors - that's why these are two totally separate functions and procedures.)

There are two “The Loop” routes, one I think is an update of the other and are as follows:-
The Loops-TRS2010 (2.7)<kuid:439337:100157>msgsapper
The Loops (2.5) <kuid:106916:1102>gfisher

As for <kuid:401543:1009> it is an in built route in TS10 = Mountain01 (built in) <kuid:401543:1009> which is maybe why it will not allow you to commit.

Hope you manage to sort things out, it can be very frustrating at times.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try the validation route and the number of errors dropped from 6000+ to 600+ - and the resulting errors were mostly of the "tag type "blahblah" not allowed in this context.

I am assuming that- while these are truly errors - they are the type of errors that simply get ignored.

Anyway, "The Loops" route runs; and, man, what a great route. I can see the remarks about this route bringing lesser graphics cards to their knees.

The frame rate on my Nvidia 9500GT 512 MB card is pretty "stuttery".
