How many baseboards do I have?

Thai1On

Slave to my route
I have had to merge my route many times as Trainz can't handle "super sized" :hehe: maps from TransDEM so I don't have a clue how many baseboards I have. Is there a way or tool to tell me how many baseboards I presently have?

Dave

As far as I know the baseboard has a kuid number. I don't have 2010 installed right now, but I wonder if the developer settings include a count of instances of a certain kuid?

At present the route stands at 210 miles in length so I think hand counting in mini map is out of the question :hehe:

HA! I have exactly the same problem although my route is only 85 miles long, it's still over 3500 boards (at a rough guess).

You know you have too many ... when saving your route, it takes Trainz 4 1/2 minutes to save.

Mine has well over 10,000 ... and that is just lowball an estimate.

In my NE Massachusetts map, recently completed, a fairly accurate estimate is 1500 base boards for about 140 miles or so, of track.

I feel your pain cascaderailroad as my save time is around 3.5 to 4 minutes :'( but over 10,000 boards!

Wow steamboat I didn't realize your route was going to be that long!

PFX only 85 miles and looking at 3500 boards  Maybe I don't want to know how many there are in my route

Mine is excessively high as I'm building to built-in standard which is, I believe, 10 boards either side of the route. If it wasn't for that, I'd say the route would only be 1000 max.

The route isn't so long in the 'long' sense. It has many cross connections E to W which piles on the milage,.......... and the baseboards.
