How is content manager suppose to work

I have been trying for several days now to get content added to my trainz 2006. I have tried to download content directly from download station, but everything says that no link is available. I try to download it using content manager. It says it connects, downloads and begins installing. The installing never seems to finish. I have let it set overnight but it never finishes. I have tried to download and install at least 10 different layouts and scenarios, but only one has made it to Trainz. I have tried everything that I can find in the forums, but nothing works. Is there some documentation out there on how this is suppose to work. I can trouble shoot this if I can find out things like where it is suppose to download things to and how the install process is suppose to work. I now get content that is uncommitted every time I startup, but I can not find anything that says how to commit it. Please help
Thanks

The FCT server is down. To commit an item or items while in CMP open Edit Tab, Choose Open for Edit, Choose Commit. After Committing, be sure to check Broken or missing Dependencies. If present, they need to be repaired or your Downloaded item will not appear in Railyard or Surveyor. TRAINZ has a bit of a learning curve. It helps to READ the excellent Manual included with TRS2006.

Hi,

Apart from the connection problems, you may find the following useful (It's in the manual - in detail).

When you put an asset into the Download pane, the first thing that should happen is that the CM+ will search for the dependencies (so if you are downloading a locomotive, it should automatically find all other bits - like bogies, sound effects etc).
The size of your chosen item will only show as the item, but the dependencies will be added to your download total. If that's more than 100Mb, then nothing will download....
It will also download at the default speed (slow).

There restrictions are overcome by buying the FCT (First Class ticket).

So, if you try to download a route, it will often reach the 100Mb limit because of the dependencies.

DLS must still be down

I can only assume that DLS servers are still down. I cannot seem to download anything of any size. It tells me that it downloads, but it sits there in the installing mode forever.
