How do you set the default consist?

I'm testing the waters in surveyor mode. Right now, I'm adding sessions to existing layouts in TRS06 and TS09. I can add an Engine and consists, and have just figured out how to add the rule to allow me to choose DCC or Cab. However I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the layout to start me in a train when I load up Driver mode.

I'm guessing the solution is simple, and the rule that handles it just isn't popping out at me. As soon as you tell me what it is, I'm sure I'll go "D'Oh!!"

this applies to 2006 but may apply to 2009 as well. your consist is on the track, its got a driver. click on that driver, get in cab mode (press 1) and as long as there is no schedule to follow select forward notch up and your off.
I'm sure you can't put yourself in cab before you start the session but i've been wrong before.

Ok, I know how to switch divers when I'm in driver mode. Let me use an example of what I want to accomplish. When you go into driver mode and choose a session, be it a tutorial, or whatever you start at a consist. Now when I start a session I create with just one consist, my starting point is at the edge of the layout, then I have to go to the map, find the consist that I placed, and choose it .

How do I set it up so that my sessions start at the consist that I placed?

You can't, but if you put a driver in that consist it's easier to find than using the find object toggle. Before you start to drive you can throw him out if you want but it's a sod finding the consist again if you want to look at something else. Think of it as using the driver as a marker.
