How do I upload a route?

Well, Western Penn RR is getting there and I would like to release it, but how do I release it with Content Manager for 04. It says half of the stuff isn't my content, which it isn't but how am I supposed to release it?

Yes that's normal, you can't upload items that are not yours. But if these items are on the DLS Trainzhelper will find them when anyone downloads your route. You will get an email fron Auran to let you know if it's accepted or not before it becomes available on the DLS.

Here's really big question: Other than physically mailing a DVD of my routes CDP by smail mail to their residential home address...how can I send a CDP of my route to someone else ?

Does it have to be uploaded to a File Sharing Hosting Site...the file I'm talking about is in excess of 10mb, and probably bigger than 30mb...too large for Yahoo IM to handle, and too big for DLS.

Microsoft Messenger (AKA "Windows Live Messenger") will allow you to send big files - you have to send them to another MS Messenger user "directly" (from a message session) and the receiving user has to to be online to accept them, but it's easy!. ZIP the file first to make it smaller and speed up transfer. Since the file goes "directly" (via 10000 places) between two PCs it's not as "Public" as a file sharing site.

If you need more info post again giving details of your and the receiving users Windows OS Versions (e.g. XP Home or Vista) and I will attempt to give blow by blow instructions!

As has been pointed out, the cdp can be sent many ways. Myself, I put it into either a .rar file or a .zip file, and upload it to my website. Some people use free file hosting sites. You can also use email, and any number of other methods as well. You can also use the preview area on the download station to allow people to download it, by providing them with the download link that is given on the preview page.

Something to keep in mind though is that the .cdp file will compress the route down a lot. So a 30MB route will end up much smaller in the .cdp file.
