How do I make roads in 2017?

This is probably a dumb question, but I cannot figure out how to make roads in 2017. Just purchased 3 days ago and have track laid and trains running. I love this program! But, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make a road! Somebody please help!

Pick up a road in surveyour and place in ground as you did for tracks.

But where IS the roadway? Is it with the track or where?

Or do you want to make a new road as na object?

Roads are usually in the same place as buildings - there is a button at the top of the Buildings tab though that can be clicked to show roads and other splines.
