how do i make custem locomotives?

vpetite, making locomotives is very hard work, look to the Trainz Resource Directory (here: http://trainzresources.com/directory/ ) and World of Trainz (Here: http://www.worldoftrainz.com/Pages/Tutorials.htm ) for several tutorials on Gmax and Blender ( here: http://www.worldoftrainz.com/Pages/Tutorials.htm ). But first, try your hand at making a building in one of these programs, and eventually work your way up to simple rolling stock and eventually to diesel locomotives.

I do not know how to make steam locomotives, but what I do know is that they are the hardest locomotives to make. I know there is one tutorial in the World of Trainz directory under the 04/06 tutorials, and there is a steam animation tutorial. If you need any more help, contact a content creator, because I can't tell you anything more than this, because I can't get GMax working and I'm too lazy to make anything, so I don't ask for anyone to make it for me. Also, use the search function located in the forum toolbar, there are tons of threads on custom content.

I would suggest you get good at diesels, then try steam. I could help with textures, weathering, and horns if necessary.

If you are a beginner, I recommend that you download locos from bdaneals Generic Downloads section, and reskin them.
