For some reason, on some locomotives, the headcode box comes up blank, as shown here:

Can somebody please tell me how to fix this glitch?

Maybe nobody knows?

I'm guessing from the loco description it's downloaded from a 'Thomas' site and in my experience the scripting and configs of such locos are frequently problematic?

Where's it from please? Even without working lamps it's looks a better J39 than the aged one on the DLS.

It’s not the only model with this problem: at least the Midland 3F from British Locomotive Works 3d also has this issue

Perhaps you need to message the original creator. It's a known issue though, Camscott's models have the same issue and I think it's something to do with a script but I'm not 100%. The original author should be able to help you fix it in any case.

Cheers,

I actually did report the problem with the J39, it doesn't seem they were able to find a solution

I had a quick look, didn't see anything obvious and decided it's not worth the effort*.

Have a look an the DLS for the J39s by pacificseven or the reskins by paulsw2. Despite being an older model it's better proportioned and better textured.

*To be fair, it's better than I could make though!

oddly, the problem doesn't occur with the 2010 SI3D models. And they also use AJS scripting, so I've no idea why they have no problems but BLW3d and SunkMr models do

From what I remember, because I installed some Thomas content for my nephew to play with when he visited more than few years ago, that there was a "special" AJS Superscript version to download. This was either a modified script or an older one given the newer version number. It's possible that you have some models using the "special" version that either work or are the ones that are causing the problem.
