hi all
i am having a rather strange problem in my yards.
i can get the lines side by side without problems
but when it comes to hooking them all up, then i always get bends and curves and i never seem to be able to get them all straight and correct.

could someone please tell me what i am doing wrong

thanks
ron

First I want to admit that I dont know the CORRECT AURAN WAY. But I have found success with using secondary spline points near the point where I want the track to start curving toward the turnout/switch.

There are some tools in the DOWNLOAD STATION specifically geared toward designing railyards. I dont know which are the best though. I am sure you will get your answer.

I do see one of them.

CS_YARD TEMPLATE_1 - kuid 37522:9972 by BEADYBOY. There are others by Beadyboy as well, but they may not be what you are searching for. I searched DLS on the word on both the title line and the description.

Here is another: YARD GUIDE kuid 141417:60079 by MR.DEN

Try using the "straighten track" button in Surveyor: it forces the track between two spline nodes to be straight.

Hi,

As the others have said above, a template would be the best option, CS Yard Template is the one I use also, looks like this:

Lay your tracks along the coloured lines, then use the straighten tool on the pieces that are marked yellow like so:

Hope this helps... :)
