how do i get anything to download

I'm using a mac. i have purchased TANE and a FCt. no serial # issued. when i got to the mirror sites for the usa, the download goes to about 860 MB and then times out.

Welcome to the forums.

I would recommend that you get hold of a download manager to assist you with that download. There are a few Mac-specific ones on the Internet that I've seen.

A download manager is a program that helps manage your downloads and helps resume it if it stops.

It looks like the Mac App Store has a few available - as I'm not a Mac user I cannot advise on the best one to get.
