how do I download objects

they are kuid content dispacher packs.
be nice I'm new at this.

Ok so they are .cdp. You must open Trainz Launcher (double click on your desktop Trainz icon) , then go to Content Manager. Once Content Manager opened, you simply drag and drop the cdp files in there. They will automatically install if you have TS2009 or up. If you have TRS2006, you will also need to go to "Open for Edit" tab, select all the items there, and press CTRL+M or from "File" menu select "Commit". TS2009 and up does the Commit operation automatically.

Thank you, I will give that a try.
I think my version is 2004. Is there a way to minimize once I'm in the content manager?
I'm not at home right now but will try later.
thanks again.

If your version is 2004, it will be the same as mine, go to where the cdp files are, they should be green icons, just double click them & when you get the description box open, click the "Extract" button at the LH lower corner, it will then self install.
You will need to do each one individually, after that, you can either delete the green icons or make a folder & save them incase you need to re install at a later date.

Blackwatch, thank you so much. That was as easy as it gets.
this will open a whole new world to me.
Do you know of any other free download sites?

Same Question..

Hi,
I followed all of these steps, but the program still does not download. When I look over, it says dowloading, but at the bottom it says 0mbps. How can I fix this?

Trainz Classics downloading is different from 2004-you can do it automatically from within Content Manager. Sounds like you are not properly registered so that the automatic downloading works-you need to go to the settings tab (under file) and set your username and password so that Content Manager can connect to Auran's servers.

If you have not got an FCT (First Class Ticket) you will have trouble connecting at busy times-an FCT guarantees (more or less) a better/faster connection.

Glad to help :D

Here's a few leads to get you going, but be careful to only download things that are made for your version or earlier, as items made for later versions (2006-2009-2010 or the TC versions) may cause you problems.
