How do I do this????? Help please

I've decided to create a NYCTA route using Magicland's subway kit...one small problem.

When I try to create a station I:

1. Place the invisible station
2. Place the end pieces of the platform at the end of the industry
3. Do the spline.
4. Connect track and tunnels.

The result? The spline and end pieces won't attach properly, you can see the outside from the station, the stations only fits 7 cars, which is improper for married pair cars, and when I connect the tunnel, I see the outside!

How do I do this????

I will try to get some pictures later...:)

Thanks for help:wave:

Any car...R30A, R12, whatever.

I did connect the track, 4. Connect track and tunnels.
Remember?

I have no clue how do to do this...

For extra length, you have to use more than 1 invisible station. To make it easier, use a ruler and measure the distance between the start and end piece of the tunnel, which should be a little higher than the length of a full train. Then place the invisible splines to connect the beginning piece to the end. After that, put the invisible stations up. Put 2 in front of each other for added length. Lastly, connect the track from the start spline to the invisible station, then from the other side of the invisible station, to the second invisible station. Lastly, connect a track from the other side of that invisible station to the end station piece.

I lay the endpieces at the lenght of the finished station, then connect the endpieces to the invisible station with the platform spline. When I connect the track, I go into the station setup menu and, after I name the station, I set the length of the platform. I'm not sure if the subway kit has that feature, but other stations by Andi06 do, so I suppose the stations he built for Magicland's project have the same feature.
Since the platforms are splines, you can stretch them as long as you like.

I tried all the suggestions...It still looks bad...does anyone know of any pre-made NYCTA subway stations like in Magicland's set? :'(

You're using the spline platforms to connect the endpieces to the invisible station, right?
The end piece doesn't have to be at the end of the industry; it can be any distance you like past the end of the invisible station as long as you connect the end piece to the invisible station with the platform spline.
Also, the track is two different sizes, with a joiner piece to connect them. Make sure you're using the size that fits the station entrance.
Once that's been double checked, how does it look?
if all else fails, gaps can be covered with a short piece of tall wall like a retaining wall.

I can't see it....I can't do this...

Which is the tutorial ? I found lots of info, but no direct info on laying the stations/connecting tunnels to stations.

I found this http://www.protrainz.com/scs.htm . It has a lot of small detail stuff, but I didn't find any pictures of how things fit. Chapter 4 mentions "A Subway" demo route, which you should probably pick up to see how everything fits together. Some time with the tweezer button in surveyer can tell you a lot about how everything works.

Well, I've given it one more go, and I created a station and correctly laid tunnels!

One question, since to make a full lenght station you require to put down two of the invisible stations, if I issue a command to make the train drive to the end of the platform, wouldn't that open the doors only on the cars that reach the first platform? Or is there a way to "merge" the two stations together to create one invisible station complex? :o

I can't try out the thing with the cars on the first platform, cause the track I've layed isn't long enough. :hehe:

EDIT: Here's another question: what should I name the two invisible stations? Let's say I am building a station called 'City Hall'. For the invisible stations, should I name them something like 'City Hall Southbound', 'City Hall Northbound' or something????

Hmmm...not many suggestions have been posted since my last post right???? :hehe: :p

So I guess I'll pile 'em all up into one post...

One last thing, where can I get a spline wall as tall as the tunnels in the set? I need them for tail tracks.

Also, what tunnel should I use for crossovers & junctions? The current one I'm using makes the sky visible. :p

All copied from previous posts...:hehe: :p

I don't think you need to put down two stations to make a full length station. I think you need to put down one station and set the end pieces a little farther from the station to make it the correct length before joining them with the platform splines. Then when you're setting up the configuration on the station, you tell it how long the platforms are.
The spline platform goes from the end piece to the station.

I once tried it with one invisible station, but it was too short. Suggestions?
