??? Hot to do? CMPA-Archrives and the import to TS2010 ???

At first please apologize my week English. I'll try to do my best.
  • I had installed TRS2007 German Edition. There I made about 50 CMPA-Archives, containing all content, I ever have downloaded and installed.
  • Then I uninstalled TRS2007 and installed TS 2010.
  • I told the CM3.3 all CMPA's. -> They are all listet now.
  • When I will install one object, which is in the CMPA and at the DLS, the CM3.3 will download it from the DLS. When the object isn't at the DLS, the CM3.3 will not install the object from the CMPA.

My Question is; Why do my CM3.3 not use the CMPA-Files for installation?
I remember me, there was written in the handbook: The first priority for object-installation was to use the CMPA-Files.
When I drop one CMPA-File in the CM3.3, the Contentmanager doesn't read the Objectnames. All Objects are listet in the Archiver as "New Object".

There are a lot of improved (bug-fixed) and renamed objects.

The CMPA-Files are archived at a external USB-HDD, which is mounted when I open the CM3.3.

Btw.: Does anyone of Auran read here in this forum section?

Hi FSP,

Your English is fine! :)

Accessing the archives is not intuitive in CM3.

Click on File
Go to settings
Choose archive.
Here you can add in your archived content so you can have access to it.

Hope this helps.

Thank Your for Your answer. I know the procedure. Please look also here ;) :

The CM3.3. knows all archives, but he doesn't use them. That's the problem.

I like the helpdesk of auran ...

II like the helpdesk of auran,

To view the items in the archive:

Open up the Search category in the left panel.

Put in Location Archive

Hit apply.

The contents of the installed archive(s) will appear in the right side.

I hope this is more helpful.

Yes, It works so far good but the problem in this way is: ALL objects from the dropped cmpa will be installed and not only these who are should be installed and I never know, what I install, because I can't see the name of the objects.

I had the same problem too, I think what you need to do now is drag the "new asset"s into the download helper tab, then press start, it should then install and give you the names
Hope that helps.

hi all

thanks
for trying to help
cheers
