hostthenpost is not working

Curiouser and curiouser. I just accessed the Postimage site with another browser, one I rarely use, and uploaded an image without logging in or creating an account. Still no popups, ads or malware.

Yikes! postimage.org is loaded down with pop-ups and ads. some for images of girls. My anti-malware software went nuts.

I recently did a lot of on-line shopping at Lowes. When I went to postimage.org I got pop-up pics of stuff I shopped for at Lowes.

If you are getting images of girls...:o

I find that often occurs on some sites. If you look at the "ad" do you see a small "i" icon in the top right corner that, when you hover the mouse over, up pops "Ads by Google"? These ads are tailored to your most recent Google searches. They can popup on sites that do not use any advertising - somehow Google is taking over the world.

You can get rid of Targeted Google ads if you have a Google Account.

Thank you for that idea. I just tried it, a very opaque (not at all clear) and difficult process to navigate through but I finally managed to opt out of ads from almost all 100+ members of the Digital Advertising Alliance (which I never knew existed before this).
