Horn/whistle restrictions

Most of you know that people complain about noise levels of train horns, especially when they are living next to a railway. According to wikipedia:

What annoys me is drivers cannot honk them at night. I say poppycock! If you were approaching a level crossing, wouldn't it be sensible to use your horn to warn people that a train is coming?

They can use them at night if people are on the track.
Level crossings mostly have lights and barriers to supposedly control the traffic, myself I'd use rising bollards ( the foot diameter ones).
I wonder how many half wits would end up with their car on top of one of those while trying to beat the lights.
Move into a house next to a railway line and complain about the noise. They want to get a life and stop whining about it, they choose to live there.

hmm...not sure about sharpening them...
Of course, if your car breaks down on a level crossing, take your mobile phone, and get out of the car immediately. Nothing is more precious than life.
