Hopless Error on Trainz 2010

I couldn't see anywhere to put this but here.
When I start Trainz, it is in a sort of windowed mode. It is not completley windowed, the backround of the opening screen is taking up the entire screen, but the icons of the menu are only takign up a quater. When I enter surveyor, it is the same. If I press the windows key, then re-enter the game, it will suddenly be 100% full screen, without the backround bits. But then, without warning, it will sometimes change. It works like this fine for a minuite, but after that, suddnely I have to click the mouse about 3cm right of what I'm trying to click on. If it does thins in driver mode, it will go ultra fullscreen, you can only see half the screen, the train controls are hidden, and I can't uncouple.
What do I do?

Hello,

I've had this issue before too. Before I help, can I ask that you go to your Planet Auran account, click on Serial and register your TS2010's serial number.

Kieran.

It should be in your Planet Auran profile. If you go to it and click on Edit Profile under the word Profile in blue, the email address will be there.

Edit: Here's a picture:

Click on 'Edit Account' on the left and your email should be there.

Kieran.

And to add to what Tom has said, make sure that your game screen resolution matches your video card settings.

If you can't set the options in the Trainz Launcher under options and then the display tab, you need to edit your trainzoptions.txt and put in the following values.

-width= (put in your exact width as shown in your video card settings).
-height=(put in your exact height as shown in your video card settings).

Save the file.

Close the file and directory.

Relaunch Trainz.
