Hiding Turnout Arrows

Is there a way to hide the turn out arrows and text (junction name or number) when in driver mode? I thought I read long ago about a way to do it but I can't find the thread.

Move your cursor to top left hand corner, when the bar with the 'X' for exiting comes up, click on the right hand '?'.

Helper Icon Size

Hover the cursor at the top left corner of the screen and then click on the icon with the question mark, that will turn of the arrows. You will still see them when you hover your mouse over them though.
You can also reduce their size.
In surveyor, go to "Edit Session Rules

", add the rule titled "Set Helper Icon Size" and then set the size. 50% will be half, 75% will be tiny as and hard to work with in Driver.

Hope that helps.:)

There is an icon , " on screen help " in the top menu bar , click to turn on or off !
I believe this is what you are asking ?

Ha! Thanks folks. I just found the old post 50 pages back after searching for half an hour, and when I returned to this thread I was going to post a link to the old one. You have already said everything the old one said though. Thanks anyways.

Hi All !

Why so complicated ? Just press CTRL + H !

Kind regards, Al.

Nothing complicated about it!! Move mouse up to left hand corner and click on '?' . Bet I am quicker doing that, than you are going to the keyboard and pressing two keys!!!! :p

Best wishes Bruce

Ah - but the two keys are pressed simultaneously, and assuming a right-handed Trainzer (which is politically incorrect, but hang in there) the right index finger in pressing the 'H' key is already more than half way to the 'F5' key, which is the other obstructive-text-removing requirement. Therefore the total aggregate time invested by a reasonably tactile Trainzer (of the right-handed persuasion) in pressing Ctrl+H and F5 is INMHO considerably less than any mouse-wielding individual could conceivable accomplish however mechanically adroit he/she might be.....

Hi everybody !

Oh my God! I KNEW this would happen! :hehe:

If a 'Trainzer' can find a way to make things complicated, he (or she) most certainly will ! (Just look at this tread......!)

If the combination CTRL+H dosn't fit You, go change it in "....settings/keyboard.txt" or even better: Get a 'RailDriver' from P.I.

To Deeelare : I see Your point. It might be true for those who use the 'S.F.P.' system on their keyboard. Now You are going to ask "What the BEEP BEEEEEP BEEP are a S.F.P system ????? I'll tell You : It stands for Search.......Find...Press !:hehe:
